There are a lot of different kinds of juicers so it’s really hard to recommend any one type of juicer for everyone.
In fact, it’s impossible to make any kind of juicer review and recommend it to everybody because people have different budgets and different ideas of what they intend to use a juicer for.
Some people are looking to juice wheat-grass for health while others are looking to ream limes quickly while cooking dinner. Still others are looking to make orange juice in the morning or to juice veggies for their morning smoothie.
The best juicer of 2020 is going to differ based on your unique needs and budgetary constraints so let me start off by give you my quick list and then I’ll dive into more detail further down this page.

As you can quickly see there are lots of different types of juicers to choose from and they can range from just a few bucks on the manual reamer side of the spectrum to many hundreds of dollars on the high end of the masticating juicer side of the spectrum.
As such I have broken up the entire juicing industry into many different segments that will apply to different types of consumers.
As a reader I hope you will take some time to dig in deep to this site and find the product group that interests you most.
I have included juicer reviews on this website that I believe are extremely comprehensive but not overly so. Like you, I get really tired of seeing extraordinarily long reviews of products that are only long for the sake of taking up more space on the page and taking up more of your time.
Before we get to the reviews though let’s first look at a summary of the best juicers made today.

Reviews of the Best Fruit and Veggie Juicers of 2020
You’ll see below links to dedicated pages covering juicing products by style. Choose any style below and you should be able to find great option for you and your family.
Which Citrus Juicer is the Best?
I recommend basic electric citrus juicers for everyday people that like to make fresh orange juice, grapefruit juice, or lemonade from home routinely.
These machines are cheap and small but they are still overkill for making small amounts of juice typically used in cooking.
Also, they will not be best for you if you intend on juicing for all-around supplementation or for making meal replacement drinks.
For people looking to spend less money there are manual citrus juicers (and reamers) which can work but they do require more time and energy to use. I usually only recommend the manual reamers to people who simply can’t afford spending $30 or more.
For general citrus juicing I recommend my readers to get the Tribest CS-1000 CitriStar first and foremost because it’s easy to use and clean. It’s got a good motor and it doesn’t cost too much either.
There are others that are great options though.

Which Centrifugal Juicer is the Best?
In my opinion centrifugal juicers are great for two distinct situations:
- You need a juicer that can make a lot of juice quickly that will be consumed right away
- You need a juicer that just doesn’t cost a lot of money but will juice just about everything
There’s nothing wrong with either of these situations either.
Many a time has happened where I wanted to make a whole pitcher of orange juice first thing in the morning and mygood old Cuisinart centrifugal juicer I keep close by did exactly what I needed it to.
There are of course better centrifugal juicers too.
Breville Elite’s come to mind and they really are a world apart from the basic Hamilton Beaches and Aikok’s but the price is definitely high for a centrifugal.
For that price it’s best looking to the entry level Omega masticating juicers if you want a better quality product.
For those really looking for speed then the Breville 800JEXL Juice Fountain Elite is really the best. It’s got a great warranty, works really fast, ad it’s very easy to keep the kitchen clean while using it.
For cost and speed alone however you can’t beat Hamilton Beach. The Big Mouth model model is among the lowest for this type of product and the motor is much better than some of the other cheap alternatives.
Having said that there are other good options that may be better for your needs. See the following posts for my reviews:

Which Cold-Press (Mastication) Juicer is the Best?
Masticating juicers go by a few different names. Some call them all cold-press juicers while others call them slow juicers.
For the most part the names are interchangeable however enthusiasts will be quick to tell you there are differences between them all.
What is common among these types of juicers is that they do not use a cutting surface to juice like centrifugal counterparts. Rather, they slowly crush and squeeze the juice out of the fruit, veggie, or leaf.
Most masticating juicers take more time to operate and they usually juice a smaller amount of produce at once. Because of the slow process of crushing most auger systems inside masticating juicers are on the smaller side unless you are able and willing to spend quite a big amount of money on a nicer unit.
Motors on slow masticating units are quite strong and they are better at torque than the big 1000 watt motors on centrifugal machines that are designed for high speed spinning and low torque.
If you opt for a bestselling entry level slow juicer like this Aicok you may have trouble juicing hard veggies like beets or carrots.
Similarly lower priced units may also have trouble getting the most juice out of leafy greens and wheat-grass. You do get better performance out of the more expensive models; there’s a reason why people will pay 4-5 times as much for a top of the line Kuvings slow juicer over a cheap unit for less than $100.
Personally I think the slow masticating juicers in the mid-price range make the most sense for the average customer. I recommend most of my readers to look at the Omega J8006HDS or any other juicer in that price range for a good balance between performance and value.

Which Juicer is Best for Wheat-grass?
Juicing wheat-grass presents challenges that most other fruits and vegetables don’t pose. Most greens are somewhat leafy or stiff while mane veggies are thicker, crunchier, or otherwise bigger.
When juicing wheat-grass your machine has to deal with lots of very fine thin strands of grass. That can be hard for some of the cheaper masticating juicers to deal with and impossible for the centrifugal machines to process.
I recommend most of my readers to either choose a high end masticating juicer like the Omega NC900HDC Juicer Extractor to process wheat-grass or to buy a cheaper dedicated unit like the manual crank Hurricane Wheatgrass Juicer.
As is always the case these are just two popular options among many.
I have a full post dedicated to the comparison of the best wheat-grass juicers. I hope you’ll give it a look.
Which are the Best Low Cost (Entry Level) Juicers
Until now I’ve tried my best to steer the majority of my readers towards the best juicers from all the different styles but I also know that not everybody wants or needs to best units available. Sometimes having a cheap option that gets the job done is all that’s needed.

Here are a few more review lists for people that have specific juicing needs:
Let’s face it, sometimes big lists of the best, smallest, cheapest, or most durable products just don’t help us out very much.
When I got into juicing back in 2018 I experimented with centrifugal juicers before anything else and as a stay at home dad to a toddler at the time I didn’t care about having the best machine. I simply wanted one that did the job good enough and quickly.
I ended up buying a centrifugal juicer that I had to cut the bigger fruits up to fit them into the chute and it was a pain when I had a 1 year old kid clamoring at my heels and whining. Only after doing more research did I pick up a second centrifugal juicer, one that was cheap but had wide enough chute to fit a whole apple into at once – that I loved.
There are countless other types of situations where you may just need help finding a juicer for a very specific purpose and I’ve tried to publish some articles for as many of those specific situations as I could think of.
